Spread the love

I was lost in the storm, but art was my light
I had forgotten who I was, but art helped me fight
God used my gifts to save me from the dark
He showed me the girl He made me from the start

I have a story to share, of pain and grace
I have scars to bear, of wounds and faith
I tried to walk on water alone, but it was too hard
I tried to drown my true self, but it left me scarred

But He called me out of the water, and lifted me up
He held my hand, gave me hope, and filled my cup
He loves me as I am, with all my flaws and fears
He keeps me in His arms, and wipes away my tears

I now walk on water with my hand in His
And when I soar like the eagle I can tell you it’s bliss
I could splash all the words but they would leave me stuck
They would never be enough to explain how I’m unsunk
